The Suns have some real guards. Orlando has worse guards and terrible depth. If Fultz can't succeed there, he will have no one to blame.

Hindsight’s 20/20, look at fultz’ college highlights. Fultz in his college form would have been exactly what the sixers needed, just got very very very unlucky with how things shook out.

Seriously this is the best possible move for him, the Sixers, and the Magic.

No real cost for the Magic. Sixers had to move on and get some value. Fultz needs a fresh start. I cannot stress this enough, he has to be primary ball handler. Anytime he played for us, he was only effective running point and driving. He was so far down the pecking order to run point for us though. Simmons, TJ, Butler, even Embiid high post were better options for us to run our offense. Now he can get the ball in his hands, drive and dish, or even start to pull up and not overthink like he does with a catch and shoot.

In all honesty though, Ainge might have inadvertently saved your franchise. His trade set off the series of events that lead to King getting fired and Marks becoming GM, and he has been phenomenal. Easily the best young GM in the league, and probably top 5 right now
