[Lakers] Brandon Ingram, who has missed two games due to a sore right shoulder, underwent further testing yesterday which revealed a Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) in his arm. Ingram is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

lonzo gets in a groove last year... gets hurt and out due to his knee. This year he balls when lebron is out and steps up and suffers a serious injury, probably will keep him out for the season. Hart dealt with knee injuries since November IIRC. Ingram was balling and then went out do to an ankle roll, comes back and starts balling out again and this happens. Anytime Ingram or lonzo get on a roll, they get injured or something major happens... Kuz was balling when lebron got injured and then suffered back and hip issues as well. This team is cursed with injuries....

A DVT didn't end Bosh's career, a serious blood clotting disorder did. Ingram could have one too, but his DVT could just be the result of many other common causes such as trauma or certain medication.

DVTs can be caused by a number of different things, like genetic disorders, smoking, or immobility (frequent flights and ect.).

Hopefully, this won't be a continual issue, but he will have to be on blood thinners for a while at the very least.

This is just not true. He has a DV thrombosis, not a pulmonary embolism (where it travels to the lungs and can kill you). Mirza and Bosh both had it in their lungs which is very serious. Ingram will be fine, but needs to take thinners for the next 3 months.

Frequent airplane travel. That’s why when a blot blot is suspected the doctor always asks “any recent travel”. In Ingram’s case he has lots of recent travel. That’s probably part of why he’ll have to miss the season because it’s too risky to keep flying.
