Absolutely one of the best players in the league. Thing about Lillard he was underrated for the longest time but now everyone knows how good he is and he's still somehow underappreciated. Consistently gets the Blazers a playoff spot in a tough west. I like thinking about him vs Kyrie and him vs Westbrook (it's a lot closer than you might think).

I also think that Damian has steadily improved over his career, so you may say he was underrated before, which is probably true, but he also is better now then ever which explains why he gets more credit. Also, if you compare him to Kyrie and Russ, I would say that one advantage he has over those two is that he would scale better then them if he was paired with greater talent, mainly because of is incredibly potant 3 point shooting

Kyrie and Dame are similar in that regard. This is why I always wanted to see Lillard and LeBron. I would say Kyrie is maybe slightly better than Lillard (he's younger too which helps,) but Lillard and Westbrook are almost tied for me. Lillard is more efficient but Russ is a better defender.

I'd say Lillard has turned into a better point guard than kyrie. I think even most teams would want Lillard than kyrie at this point.

Kyrie is the most overrated player I swear. He flashy and good, but his skills don't translate to wins. Those early Cavs years and these Celtics years show how empty his game is. Sure, he shows up deep in the playoffs but needed LeBron to get there in the first place.

I feel like Curry and Dame have extremely similar skill sets, but Curry's just better at everything except for athleticism.
Which is crazy because Dame is still a Top 15 (maybe top 11-12) player in the league imo.

Because Curry has the to MVPs and the Championships to validate his position in the league. It doesn't matter if someone says that there's 30 players better than him.. There's hard proof he's one of the best in the league.
Dame doesn't have that kind of backing up beyond his individual stats.

To be honest he was in a bit of a different situation. 5 years ago he was what 26, entering his prime with a team on the consistent upswing.
Dames team has been stagnant for a few years and he’s a couple years older.
