I’m probably the biggest Butler fan there is, but I think the Lakers are better off with better role players than they are with Jimmy.

A lot of what Butler does is made redundant by LeBron. Sure, Butler could be the second ball handler but then you’ve got another iso type scorer who is detracting from Anthony Davis. The fit really isn’t there.

It sucks that Jimmy left Philly. That’s the best team for him for fit that has a shot at contention.

Eh, for just under 5 million and given the market and the team's needs, I think it is pretty reasonable. Add in a dash of hope that he will be motivated to go hard due to the potential of the team he is on (You are on a team with Lebron and AD, this is a team that is going places) and it is a reasonable risk/reward option.

In Memphis he was given the green light on a bad team. On the clippers he was easily the worst starter in the starting line up. Takes inefficient shots (long 2s) and defense isn't what it used to be. There's a reason hen Lawrence got rid of him the starting line up got infinitely better
