This is a good point. There are different types of trash talking. There's Larry Bird I'm better than you and you can't do anything about it trash talk, and there's Gary Payton I'm going to make you feel like dirt trash talk.

To me, the Payton approach doesn't bother me. That's all over the park. Everyone talks shit about someone, especially whoever is guarding you. It becomes normal.

But to hear someone tell you what they're gonna do and then do it is another level. The former tries to bring you down and lose confidence in yourself. The latter (Bird's approach) is telling you that it doesn't matter how confident or talented you are, they're better than you.

尼克斯球迷：你这个问题很好。垃圾话有很多种风格。伯德的是我就是比你强，你防不住我，还有佩顿的是我要让你觉得恶心。

我觉得吧，佩顿那种喷法没啥。毕竟野球场上到处都是。人人都会喷垃圾话，特别是面对防守人的时候，这个很正常。
